Masculine Card

I don't know about others, but I really struggle with masculine cards. I like swirls and frills and ribbons and butterflies and bows and flowers and lace--all stuff that is truly not masculine. So when faced with the need to make a man's card, creativity dries up many times.

So today's card is a try at that very thing. I had a Cricut cutout that had been lying around for a long time and it looked like it could possibly go on a man's card. I wish I could remember which cartridge was used to make it, but searching through my cartridges did not yield any answers to that question. Sorry! The design has "Thinking of You" cut out, and above the "i" I put a turquoise blue button for a dot. The base is made of kraft cardstock with an overlay of burlap, then the cutout on top of that. The dark brown button is tied with a turquoise blue, brown and white ribbon; all that brown needed a splash of color without taking it over to a feminine side.

Here is the card:

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT

Acts 13:38-39
"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do."  NLT

  1. Great take on a masculine card, I love the burlap in the background. And it's always so rewarding to use up leftover bits and bobs. Thank you for entering the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge , “Use a stamp or digi”. We hope to see you back again soon! Karola, DT, InvisiblePinkCards
