I wanted to make a couple of Easter cards for some special people and thought it would be a good idea to do it now, as time tends to creep up on us.
I started by spraying a sheet of white cardstock with gold paint, and then with gold glitter spray. This is an alternative to buying gold paper at the craft store. Both of these cards are essentially the same except for the Cross diecut. The background is layered white onto the gold sprayed paper and embossed with Darice Curls EF. Sizzix oval dies frame the crosses, which are from the Spellbinders Cross 2 set. After layering the bases and the ovals and crosses, the whole piece was sprayed with silver glitter spray; my iPhone did not pick up the sparkle very well, but it does glimmer and shine. The rose is from Dienamics Hybrid Heritage Rose, and it is embellished with Glossy Accents. The four corners of the cards and the center of the roses are accented with gold half pearls.
