Floral Trellis

Good Afternoon, Crafters,

Today it seemed like a good time to make a post, because looking back at my blog, it looks like there has not been any activity since December of last year!  How time flies.

We had some really bad weather here in Texas, which you may have heard about--an unprecedented deep freeze all across our state. We were without power and heat for 3 days; because our water pipes burst, we had to have some repairs done to the house, but now all is well.

Today's card is made from some dies that I have not used in a very long time; a couple of them, like the trellis and the flower, are probably off brand dies from China with no real name to them, so there's no way to let you know that information. However, the foliage is from Cherry Lynn - Fanciful Flourish, and the frame is from Hero Arts - Infinity Dies, both of which I have had maybe 5-10 years. There are two rectangular diecuts glued together which are attached to the top of a larger frame. The two outer petals of the flower are punched out from retired SU punches. The background paper was sort of an ombre effect with the color changing from the top of the paper to the bottom. You can see the different tones in the flower petals. A half pearl finishes the flower.

I am entering this card in the following challenges ending:

Romans 10:9-11
9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

Acts 13:38-39
38 "Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. 39 Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do.  NLT

A Simple Prayer for Salvation:

O, God!  I know that I am a sinner. I thank You that Jesus Christ, Your Holy Son, was born of a virgin, came and lived a sinless life here on earth, and died on the cross as a sinless sacrifice for my sin. He is no longer dead, but rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. I accept His atonement for every sin I have ever committed and receive Your salvation. I put all of my trust in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and receive Him as Lord of my life from this moment on. Thank You Father God for this grace given to me.

2 Corinthians 5:17  This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun.  NLT

  6. I live in Mississippi and only had to deal with one episode of burst pipes but thankfully no loss of electricity! Bless your heart I can't imagine it colder than it was for that brief period here! Now we prepare for the heat, right? :) Your card is very elegant! The color has so much depth to it!
