Proverbs 31:10

Today's card is made for a very special virtuous woman in my family. It would be a great Mother's Day card, but my mother and mother-in-law have already gone on to be with Jesus. This is for another godly woman with whom I am close.

One technique I used was to put a drop of glue on the center of each little flower blossom and then sprinkle with gold glitter. Some of the glitter also stuck to other parts of the card, which is great because who can get too much glitter?????

These were also used to make the card:

Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three
Tattered Lace Butterfly
Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish
Fiskars Small Blossom Punch
Word Art Wednesday Sentiment
Yellow and White Gingham Ribbon
Small Butterfly Punch
Gold Glitter
Iridescent Clear/White Glitter

And here it is:

Just a Note (2)

This little card is made with a whimsical Cricut cartridge; the little bird just makes me smile, and I hope that she will do the same to the recipient of the card.

It is fairly CAS, so not much explanation is needed, except that the EF was brayered with blue ink before running through the machine.

Job 37:14

Today's card has quite a few elements on it. I kind of was free-thinking today, I guess. I am using a Scripture printed from my computer, Job 37:14, "stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God." The background paper is a very happy stripe with vibrant colors. The lattice is cut from four thicknesses of aluminum foil.

Here is what was used to make it:

Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge
Spellbinders Fancy Lattice Die; Spiral Rose One Die
DieNamics Layered Leaves Die
Cheery Lynn Deco 2 Corner Die
Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly Punch
Yellow Ribbon
Yellow Ink (on the edges of the rose petals)
Pink Liquid Pearls

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

Today's card was inspired by color! My color inspiration came from this photo at Sisterhood of Crafters:

Such a happy color palate, and I had just the perfect paper from Stampin' Up that has been in my drawer, just waiting for this challenge. It actually has all the colors, but some of them were covered up by roses, foliage, etc.

I also used these tools:

Stampabilities "With All Your Heart" Stamp
DieNamics Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die
Spellbinders Sprigs Die
Martha Stewart Large Branch Punch
Tattered Lace Butterfly Die
Aqua Ribbon Made into a Three-Looped Bow

Here is the card:

Just a Note

Today's card made use of a stamp that I have never stamped with before. I got it at a Stampin' Up used/discontinued stamp sale over a year ago and it had just been sitting in a drawer. Yesterday I pulled it out and colored it with markers and stamped it onto white cardstock. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. It is die cut with Spellbinders a Fleur de Lis die and placed on an embossed background using a Spellbinders Quilted Delights EF. The little butterfly (Memory Box Pippi Butterfly) is glittered and embellished with Viva Cream Liquid Pearls. A red rhinestone is glued to the center of the stamped flower, and a double-looped very pale pink bow is added at the bottom.

Sending Birthday Wishes

I got out my Cricut machine again and made a little "bird on a branch" cut from the Picturesque cartridge. The background is made by using a Darice Clouds EF; I inked the background with a brayer for the blue sky. The sentiment is from the Just Rite Grand Sentiments set. The flower was premade in a package that I have had for years, maybe and was stuck in a drawer all this time. The handmade bow is made of raffia ribbon. A Viva liquid pearl makes the bird's eye.

Song of Solomon 4:12

I saw a beautiful image of hyacinths on the internet and thought it would look pretty on a card, and I paired it with a beautiful passage from Song of Solomon and used a monochromatic blue theme.

These are the tools used:

Joy Crafts Fantasy Butterflies
Viva Liquid Pearls
Glitter
Sentiment printed from my computer
Ribbon tied into a double-looped bow

Thinking of You (3)

Today I used a technique that I have seen on the internet before but have never tried myself. It is using two embossing folders and scoring in between the two designs. I also used a border punch that I probably have not used in years; likewise, the Cricut cartridge and patterned papers that were used have been sitting all lonely for years, as well. It was time to pull them out and create something.

Here are the tools used:

Cricut Sophie Cartridge
Darice Flourishes 3-Pack EF
Paper Studio A2 Butterflies EF
Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes
Martha Stewart Butterfly Border Punch
Viva Liquid Pearls
Brad
Green Raffia Ribbon

Here is the card:

Thinking of You (2)

I kind of got started today not knowing exactly what would be the end result of the project, but just kept going until it got completed. Does anyone do that too? One method I used was to ink the embossing folder with purple ink before running it through  the machine. This made a purple background and made the white raised embossing more prominent.

I used these tools to make the card:

  • Spellbinders Les Pappillons Butterfly Die, Quilted Delights EF
  • Martha Stewart Large Branch Punch (I have been wanting this one for a long time and finally got it at Joann's yesterday for 50% off!)
  • Viva Ice White Liquid Pearls
  • Sentiment printed from my computer
  • Glitter
  • Ribbon tied into a double-looped bow

Thinking of You

Today's card is made from some pretty butterfly paper I have had for a long time. I love the bright colors that were used in the making of it, and butterflies are just so meaningful to so many people.

Spellbinders Whimsy EF
JustRite Grand Sentiments Purchased in 2013
Blue Polka Dotted Grosgrain Ribbon
Iridescent Glitter
