Fun with Cosmic Glitter Flakes

I used something today that had been neglected for a long time--Cosmic Glitter Flakes. The base is purple cardstock which is overlaid with the glitter flakes and also gold and iridescent glitter (can you say, "hopeless bling addict?). I also used a sprig of dried flowers taken from the lovely bouquet my children gave me for Mother's Day.

These were used to make the card:

  • Spellbinders Aster Topper; Deckled Rectangles Large
  • Memory Box  Lorelai Outline Leaf; Fabulous Phlox (purple foliage)
  • Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly Punch
  • Gold Liquid Pearl (on the butterfly)
  • Dried Flowers
  • Pink Rhinestone
  • Sentiment Printed from My Computer

And here it is:

Very Girly Pink Birthday

Today's card is sparkly and pink and very feminine. I used a new Anna Griffin EF which came in the mail recently; I inked up the "A" side with pink ink and ran it through the machine. That created a pink background so that the white raised areas showed up better.

Here is a list of materials used:

Anna Griffin Calligraphy Frame
Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly Punch
DieNamics Flourish
Viva Ice White Liquid Pearls
Spellbinders Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters
White Seam Binding Ribbon
Glitter
Pink Ink

And here is the card:

Clean and Simple

This card was made using a piece of acrylic that was part of the packaging on a set of dies that were purchased. It was run through a Spellbinders Enchanted EF, then inked with white ink to make the design more prominent. It was then placed on pastel blue cardstock. The sentiment is from Word Art Wednesday and was downloaded a long time ago--maybe a couple of years. It is diecut with Spellbinders Labels Eight; a white bow is added at the bottom.

Here it is:

Closer look at the embossing:

I Have Called You by Your Name

The sentiment for today's card is taken from Isaiah 43:1:  " I have called you by your name; You are Mine."

What a lovely and comforting thought! I was reading a devotion this morning which emphasized that God loves us, and not only does He love us, He actually likes us! He enjoys spending time with us--the God of the universe Who was and is and is to come, the Almighty God Whose love and power have no end, actually desires our fellowship and companionship. How humbling and at the same time, beautiful beyond words!

The construction of this card is pretty straightforward. These tools were used:

Sizzix: 17 Labels 660060
Cheery Lynn:  Fanciful Flourish
Stampin' Up:  Pansy Punch (two layers)
Green Raffia Ribbon
Rhinestone Embellishment
Sentiment Printed from My Computer
Brown Ink
