You Are More Precious than Gold

Today's card is a cheerful reminder that everyone we meet has a God-given destiny with DNA created by God for a specific purpose that is designed to further His kingdom. Some have not accepted Christ as Savior and are headed down a path that is contrary to God's design. Some Christians have chosen wrong paths that have had consequences in their lives that have hurt them and others. What is a perfect prayer for those persons? "Father, I pray for your highest and best for this person, and that Your will would be manifest in the life of this one. I pray for an encounter with You and with Your Son, Jesus Christ, that will change the course of his/her life in such a way that Your glory will show forth from this person and that Your divine destiny will be fulfilled."  God is still on the throne and still has beautiful destinies for everyone born on this earth. God encounters change lives!

All that is to say that God's design for the recipient of this card is noble and honorable, and that God views this person as more precious than gold. We are His handiwork, His poetry, His beautiful divine design.

You are God's masterpiece. He
has created you anew in Christ
Jesus, so you can do the good
things he planned for you long ago.

Ephesians 2:10

You Are Simply Wonderful

Today's card was made using a crafting item I have not used in a long time: microbeads!  They are from Martha Stewart. I saw them on a post, but had a hard time finding them in the stores; I did find them at Michael's. That was quite awhile ago, so they may be easier to find now.

The roses were cut from a Cricut Floral Shoppe cartridge and the butterfly is a die cut (Wonderful Wings) from Spellbinders, and is sprayed gold and glittered. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. The card is finished with a hand-tied double-looped green/silver bow.

Here it is:

Trying a New Twist on a Bow

I tried something different with the bow on today's card; a string of iridescent pearls is added to the bow for some extra pizzazz. It took several tries before it looked presentable, though.

Also used to make the card are:

  • Stampin' Up:  Discontinued flower stamp; Elegant Butterfly Punch
  • Just Rite Grand Sentiments
  • ODBD:  Vintage Flourish Pattern Die
  • Iridescent Glitter
  • Iridescent Sequins

Just for You

Today's card is another CAS, starting with an ivory cardstock base. The star of the card is a Memory Box Kensington Border die that was used with blue cardstock. The sentiment is from a very old Stampin' Up stamp that is probably discontinued by now. It is finished off with a five-looped ivory handmade bow.

Here it is:

Thinking of You

Today's card is CAS, with a large emphasis on butterflies. Butterflies are my absolute favorite embellishment--so beautiful and so meaningful, representing a transformed life in Christ. Not sure how it happened, but the lighting must have been off; the picture is actually blue and white, not blue and pink... fyi.

These were used in making the card:

Just Rite Grand Sentiments
Memory Box Kensington Border; Vivienne Butterfly

And here it is:
