Today's card was fun to make because there cannot ever be too much bling! The farthest back layer of the card was made with sparkly star paper that I got from either Michael's or Hobby Lobby (can't remember which). The next layer, dark blue, was die cut with a Tim Holtz (Sizzix) die - three different cut out designs were in the package, but the package does not have a title on it. :(
The Wise Men were from a discontinued Stampin' Up stamp; it was stamped, then heat embossed with silver. Did you know you don't have to use Versa Mark ink to emboss? You can use regular ink, then quickly (before it dries) sprinkle on your embossing powder, then heat emboss. That's what I did today because I couldn't find my Versa Mark ink.
The star was die cut out of the blue paper so that the silvery paper showed through, then another star was die cut (Stampin' Up Starlight Thinlit Dies) and pop dotted on top of it to add a little dimension.
The sentiment is from Matthew 2:1-12.

Acts 13:38-39"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do." NLT
2 Corinthians 5:15-20
15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. NLT
