I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted a card. Harvey (the hurricane) swept through our area and devastated the homes of so many; lives have been severely impacted, and we are still in the middle of rebuilding and working by the grace of God to come to a new normal.
My card-making friend and I have taken on a new hospital for children in our area and have committed to making up to 125 cards a month, plus prayer cards that will be hung on a tree in their chapel. Lots of work, and we decided to not have duplicate cards during the month. So, I need to get busy. There will be other card makers contributing from throughout the country, so the challenge is not ours alone. If you would like to contribute either birthday or general uplifting cards to the cause, please leave a message below.
So, I have made a card using a SU set called Sprinkles of Life and a Darice EF called Swirls Background. I used an unnamed cloud die to cut the top of the cupcake with a multicolored dotted paper to resemble sprinkles on the frosting. The text reads, "Money can't buy happiness... but it can buy cupcakes. And that's kind of the same thing." Wish I could have gotten the colors more vibrant, but this is the best my iPhone could do.
I am entering this card in the following challenges ending:

Acts 13:38-39"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do." NLT
2 Corinthians 5:15-20
15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. NLT

Romans 10:9-11 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
