I have been AWOL for a few months because life happens.
:o)
I am getting back into the swing of posting again, though. Today's card was made for a very special family member. She is an inspiration to everyone she meets, and I love her so much.
The background piece is from some shelf paper I got, probably at one of the Dollar Stores; it's been in my stash for so long, that I don't remember where I got it.
The sentiment is from Stampabilities, Love Is Patient 02 - it's hard to tell by looking at the photo, but it was stamped with black ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder (Tip: you can heat emboss with regular ink--it doesn't have to be with Versamark); it is die cut with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles; the flower is from Die-Namics Heirloom Rose, and the center part of the flower is a 5-Petal punch from Punch Bunch. The foliage is from a Martha Stewart Pine Branch Punch.
I have had a lot of fun with melting down Perler Beads (which I got from Amazon); I turn them on end and bake them in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. The result is these cute little buttons that are perfect for the center of flowers.
Here is the card:
