The Greatest Gift

Another Christmas card today. I have pretty much made enough for my own personal use, and have asked a friend who volunteers at a nursing home how many she might need for the residents. That probably means a lot more to make, but it is an opportunity to remind those precious people that Christ Jesus is the Savior and that His birth, which we celebrate at Christmas, is the beginning of His mission to live, die and be resurrected for our salvation. I never want to miss that opportunity with any of my Christmas cards.

I used a Sweet 'n' Sassy stamp from the Christ Is Born set for the sentiment and die cut it out with a Spellbinders Our Daily Bread Designs Vintage Flourish Patterns die. The background is a white paper embossed with a Paper Studio "Holly" EF, then brayed with green ink. The holly berries were colored red with Viva Red Liquid Pearls. A red bow finished the card.

Here it is:

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT

Acts 13:38-39
"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do."  NLT
