Today's card is made with some scraps that had been lying around. It's always good to clean things out if possible, and it is easy to get an abundance of paper pieces that are too big to throw away. Maybe others do not deal with hanging on to little pieces of things, but I do.
The main color swatch is the piece in the middle and it was used to determine other colors used. It has turquoise, lime green, pink, orange, gold and purple, so it gave me lots of options. I used an EK Success punch--Daisy Scallop--to trim the center piece; the sentiment is from the JustRite Grand Sentiments set and is made with VersaMark ink and blue embossing powder; the flower is from Spellbinders Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters set and the foliage is Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourish. A white doily from a local restaurant was clipped and placed in the upper right hand corner, and a turquoise rhinestone is used to embellish the aster.

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
Acts 13:38-39
"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do." NLT

You have done such an excellent job with your scraps! Thanks for sharing at Craft Your Passion#249. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I love the embossed in blue sentiment as well as the border punch you used. If you would ever be interested in doing a border swap let me know. I have a ton of borders but would love to get more options without having to buy a bunch of punches. grohcm@gmail.com to get a hold of me.
