Vintage Image

I found a pretty image on the internet and printed it off a couple of months ago, knowing it might be useful in making a happy, colorful card some day. It printed off a little bit pale, so colored markers were used to brighten up the flowers.

I was going through some old things, cleaning out and throwing away when I happened upon an old yellow paper folder--the kind we used to put reports in that had fasteners on the inside for three-holed notebook paper. Instead of pitching it, I cut it up and ran it through a Cuttlebug Julie's Garden EF, then sanded it so that the white backside showed through. Then it was lightly dusted with glitter. Two bows were added (one out of red and white gingham and one out of gold cord), and a rhinestone for extra sparkle was glued onto the center of the bows.

Here is the card:

I am entering this card in the following challenges ending:

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT

Acts 13:38-39
"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do." NLT

  8. What a way to recycle an otherwise would be thrown away material. I also love the image you used and the Scripture in the signature of your post. What a blessing it is for us that you joined our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday last week and hope you join us again this week. I want to share the Scripture in 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 telling us, ” However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.” Have a blessed weekend…
