Gold and silver are so representative of the Christmas season; they represent Christ's deity and the redemption He brought to us. Today's card has both gold and silver, plus a sparkly white corrugated background.
I took some gold vellum and heat embossed a silver dove from Stampin' Up's Calm Christmas collection of stamps. I used a special vellum glue runner on the back of the vellum, but because the background paper was so glittery, the vellum glue would not stick to it; it was also very thin and flimsy, so I backed it with regular paper to make it more stable and used a regular glue runner on the back of it. It adhered well to the background. Other items used were self adhesive faux gem strips which were found at Joann's, and a silver double-looped bow.
Here is the card:
The sentiment on the inside of the card was created by Diane Noble, and she graciously gave me permission to use it on my Christmas cards:

Romans 10:9-10
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
Acts 13:38-39
"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God--something the law of Moses could never do." NLT

On that Holy night our Savior was born and
God ushered into the world light,
joy and His Truth in the flesh.
And now at Christmas we anticipate
His coming again to bring final
Peace and justice to the nations
.
May your holiday season be wrapped in His light,
sparkled with His joy, and filled with His peace.
Merry Christmas
