A Peachy Thank You

This week at Joan's Gardens we are all in peach and green and white. I entered one card already and needed to make a thank you card for my daughter who got me a some crafting supplies and a very nice Spellbinder die set for my birthday. So, what better way to thank her than to make her a sweet card using what she gave me?

I am entering a card with these guidelines from Joan's challenge this week:

  • Pastel peach, green and white
  • Some type of layered flower
  • Fancy corner and a heart
  • You must use a product sold at Joan's Gardens
  • Mention that you are doing the card/project for Joan's Gardens Challenge

  •  I started out with white cardstock and found a peach and white plaid paper with sparkles on it. (Love sparkles and bling!) On top of the plaid paper is a corner die cut from white paper (my daughter's gift), and on top of that is greenery cut from sparkly green paper. This die is also from the same Spellbinder's set. The flower is cut partially from a die set and partially from cut outs, using white cardstock. I needed to make the flower a bit bigger than the dies were, so I just stuck some larger cut outs on the back of them. They are curled up with a tool and inked with peach (which I think just looks too orange) and pink. I think the pink ink tones down the orange ink and also makes for an interesting mottled effect. A green rhinestone is glued to the middle of the flower. On a white heart cut out is stamped "thanks so much" in green ink. It is attached with a dimensional stickie.

I am also entering this card at Word Art Wednesday.

    Here is the card:

These are the tools used in making the card:
    • Cuttlebug:  Asterisks 37-1202
    • Spellbinders:  Gold Elements One S5-183
    • Rhinestones

Items in green may be purchased from Joan.

    Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
