I am making another vintage theme card with a scene; the vintage scene used here was taken from the internet, as it is hard for me to find papers that have vintage scenes that are appropriate for my take on this challenge.
The picture was originally a sepia color but brown seems a little sad to me and a soft Wedgewood blue seemed more fun and a happier hue, so it was re-colored.
All the layers are mounted with dimensional stickies, so that the layers pop a bit. The blue layer is sprayed with blue glitter mist, then two die cuts were placed on top of that. A three-looped bow was made with 1/8 inch ribbon and attached on the diagonal. White glitter glue was applied to the loopy ends of the sentiment and a thin line around the outside of the sentiment. Little white pearls are put in the lower right hand corner of the bird picture to offset and balance the bow in the upper left hand corner. Little white pearls are on the sentiment, as well.
The bird in the picture reminded me of a song I sang in junior high school choir. We were allowed to sing scriptures in public schools back then, and the song has never left me. (Practicing that song every day in choir really implanted the verse on my heart.) Although the words we sang are a bit different from the translation used in the sentiment on the card, they still ring true and are so sweet. The psalm starts out with "How lovely are Thy dwellings, O Lord of Hosts. My soul longeth, yea, fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Then comes the part about the bird in the picture... This is what the sentiment says, which is a different translation from what we sang:

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT

Even the

and the swallows
have their own home;
they keep their

my king and my God.
