Thank You with Ninja Turtles

After taking a much needed break from blogging, I am back on track again doing what is such a happy hobby--making cards.  :o)  Between Christmas and New Years holidays and having H1N1 (UGH!), I am fully recovered now and ready to hop back in again.

I made a thank you card for my daughter and son-in-law for a sweet birthday gift they gave me and added a final touch suggested by my husband.

Starting out with white cardstock, a peachy pink and white plaid layer was added; a frame was cut from some shiny green paper, and a sentiment was stamped on white paper and punched out. Around the sentiment I inked the edges in pink for some added contrast and interest.

The flowers and leaves were then added, and the flowers were dabbed with orange and pink inks to give a mottled peachy color to them. In the center of each flower is a pink rhinestone. A very small pink bow is added to the flowers.

My husband thought the card looked too girly to be given to both my daughter and son-in-law, and jokingly said it needed something masculine on it--like Ninja Turtles. So I found a picture of the Ninja Turtles on the internet and printed it out on my computer, cut it out and added it on the lower right of the card. (It can be easily removed!)

These are the tools used to make the card:
  • Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles
  • EK Success Real Estate Punch
  • EK Success Flower Punch
  • Stampendous MTC03 Stamp
  • Lorelai Outline Leaf
  • Green, Orange and Pink Inks
  • Pink Ribbon
  • Bow Easy
  • Pink Rhinestones
  • Picture of Ninja Turtles from the Internet
Here is the card:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
