Monochromatic Blue Birthday

I tried out a new embossing folder today. After trying to ink the raised portions in white ink with no outstanding effects, I resorted to using white shoe polish! Worked like a dream. After doing that, it was glittered generously. (Never too much bling, right?)

Tools used:

Spellbinders: Dew Drop Delight EF; Deckled Rectangles Die Set
Stamin' Up: Botanical Builder Die Set
Joy Craft: Fantasy Butterfly Dies
Martha Stewart: Branch Punch
White Ink and White Shoe Polish
Ink Brayer
Iridescent Glitter
Rhinestone
Pearls
Ribbon

  6. Such a sweet and beautiful card here, and just right after my heart as I LOVE blue and butterflies and totally agree too, that a girl can never have too much bling and glitter ha ha ha. I absolutely LOVE, how you grabbed to the shoepolish, when the ink didn´t work out, that´s such a cool idea, that I´m definitely going to save for later use too, that´s for sure.

  10. These colours work so well together. The background looks wonderful with the glitter on white. No one would know it was shoe polish, obviously a new thing we need to add to our stash!
