Cheery Roses

I got some new toys at Hobby Lobby and Joann's yesterday and couldn't wait to try them out. Using a variety of punches and dies, and a new embossing folder, I went to work just kind of experimenting through the whole process. Sometimes experiments work and sometimes they don't but they are always learning experiences.

On white cardstock is glued down a light green piece of cardstock and on top of that is another white piece. Then on top of that is a piece of darker (or brighter) green that is embossed; then I highlighted the raised embossing with white chalk ink. There are white die cut and green punched leaf flourishes and embellishments that are sprayed with diamond glitter dust, as are the light pink butterflies. The sentiment is printed and punched out with a great EK punch that I know will be a favorite. It is attached with dimensional stickies. Then, to add an even more feminine touch, five roses were die cut and rolled, and placed around the sentiment.

Here is a picture of the card:

Here are the tools used to make the card:

  • Spellbinders:  Spiral Blossom One; Bitty Blossoms
  • CheeryLynn:  Cuties #3 Blossom; Fanciful Flourish
  • Martha Stewart:  Five Leaf Punch; Small Butterfly Punch
  • EK:  Real Estate Sign Large Punch
  • Cuttlebug:  Modern Wallpaper EF
  • Versamagic:  Cloud White Chalk Ink
  • Krylon:  Glitter Blast Diamond Dust Glitter Spray

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
