To Honor My Honey

This week at Joan's Gardens it is an "anything goes" week for her challenge, and I am doing a card for the challenge with a Father's Day theme, since FD is Sunday, to honor my Honey, my sweet husband of 39 years. He deserves a big hug and lots of kudos because he is a wonderful husband and a great father and grandfather. The card is ultra simple because my husband is not one to love a lot frou-frou.  <3

Here are the guidelines:

  • Anything goes this week
  • You must use a product sold at Joan's Gardens:    www.atjoansgardens.com
  • Also, mention that you are doing the card/project for Joan's Gardens Challenge

This took some thought because most of the dies and embossing folders I have are extremely feminine. Girly-girl cards are fun, but masculine cards are more of a challenge. I did manage to use one item that you can buy at Joan's Gardens, and that is a Cuttlebug EF called "Charlie." It is a zigzag pattern and is about the most manly thing I own in my crafting drawers. A more feminine card may be forthcoming after this one....  :o)

The card is pretty straightforward and probably does not need any explanation of how it was made.  Here it is:

I am also submitting this card to Word Art Wednesday

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
