For Everything There Is a Season GBCB-017

This week at Joan's gardens we are challenged to make a card with these guidelines:

  • Use gingham, checks or plaids
  • Colors:  green, white and brown
  • Butterflies
  • Something fallish... pumpkins, scarecrows, leaves, etc.

Starting out with white cardstock, a brown layer was added with dimensional stickies. The next layer was also added with dimensional stickies and was run through an EF with a pretty leaf pattern, then brayered with green, brown and gold ink.

I had bought a cute little gingham stamp from Joan awhile back but had never used it. Now was a great chance! Using green ink, I stamped it out and used an oval die to make a cutout so that the scripture from Ecclesiastes shows. It is attached with dimensional stickies, also.

Last, a brown and copper bow was added and tiny punched out butterflies.  Here is the card:

These are the tools used to make the card:

  • Spellbinders:  Classic Scalloped Ovals
  • Paper Studio:  A2 Leaf EF, Tiny Butterfly Punch
  • Green, gold and brown inks
  • Copper and brown ribbon
  • Bow Easy
  • Our Daily Bread:  Gingham Stamp

I am entering this card at Joan's Gardens and  Word Art Wednesday.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I always appreciate your visits. As always, God's highest and best to you today and every day.

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
