I am entering one more card in this week's challenge at Joan's Gardens. The guidelines are Pink, Floral, and Swirls.
Starting out with white cardstock, I ran some pink paper through a new Cuttlebug die I got (Anna Griffin Flourish Medallion) and put that on the cardstock as a background. Using a rose die (Spellbinders Spiral Blossom One), I cut out a pink rose, but the pink was very fluorescent and very garish, so I spray painted it with white paint. Tucked under the rose is a pink bow (Bow Easy), leaf flourishes (Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourish). To add some interest, depth and texture, I gathered a piece of tulle, inked it with pink ink and nestled it under the rose and bow. The sentiment is punched with a Martha Stewart Happy Birthday punch. The corners are rounded with a paper Studio small round corner punch, as is the white backing for the sentiment.
Here is the card:
I used my camera phone to get a better representation of the colors, but alas, I don't know how to turn the photo upright to display it in the proper orientation. I know that the readers of this blog are amazingly creative and can picture it as it is supposed to be!
This is a closeup of the tulle:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
