Peace on Earth (1)

I have made two Christmas cards today using the same dies, but with a bit of a different twist for each one. The dies used are all from PoppyStamps:  Grand Gothic Window, Grand Gothic Stained Glass Window and Pine Sprigs. I also used Spellbinders Brick and Bark EF.

The first card (the one in this post) is the more rustic of the two. (You can see the second card here.) I have this beautiful scarf that was hand painted by a Messianic Jewish friend who lives in Israel; it has all the colors of the rainbow and is just stunning. I get complements on it each time I wear it. I took a picture of it and printed it out on my computer. I took a section of it and used Glossy Accents liquid on it to make it look like real glass.

Here is a picture of a piece of the picture with the glossy finish:

I used the "Bark" side of the EF on this card and rolled over it with a brayer loaded with gold  ink, then white ink. To me it looks a lot like the exterior of a sweet little country church. I went to one of these churches as a child. The "stained glass" paper is overlaid with the black "leading" of the die. The window frame was die cut out and spray painted gold. "Peace on Earth" is mounted on gold and green papers and placed on the card with pop dots. At the bottom of the window are die cut pine sprigs, and a blingy, glittery golden bow is attached,

Here is a picture of the card:

A closeup of the "stained glass." It reminds me of the glass on a Tiffany lamp:

And, "Peace on Earth."

I used MS Publisher again for the inside and the back of the card. Inside of the card:

Romans 10:9-11
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
