This week at Joan's Gardens the challenge is to make a card with white and gold, embossing and pearls. Sounds like a beautiful combination for a Christmas card, don't you think?
Starting out with white cardstock, I cut a piece and spray painted it with gold. Then I embossed a smaller piece of white and embossed it with a Sizzix Scallop and Ribbon Loop EF. The Sentiment is printed from my computer and is framed with a Spellbinders die (Decorative Labels Eight). Iridescent sparkly glitter is glued around the perimeter of the frame. It is attached with pop dots. I got a Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die this week and used it on this card. The flower is cut from white paper; glittery sparkles are added for a bit of eye-catching flair. The leaf is spray painted gold and gold pearls form the center of the flower. It is attached with pop dots for added dimension. I love this die. You can bend the petals upward to really create a beautiful three-dimensional flower. A gold bow is placed below the poinsettia at the lower right.
