Wonderful Counselor

This week at Joan's Gardens the challenge is to make a card with white and gold, embossing and pearls. Sounds like a beautiful combination for a Christmas card, don't you think?

Starting out with white cardstock, I cut a piece and spray painted it with gold. Then I embossed a smaller piece of white and embossed it with a Sizzix Scallop and Ribbon Loop EF. The Sentiment is printed from my computer and is framed with a Spellbinders die (Decorative Labels Eight). Iridescent sparkly glitter is glued around the perimeter of the frame. It is attached with pop dots. I got a Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die this week and used it on this card. The flower is cut from white paper; glittery sparkles are added for a bit of eye-catching flair. The leaf is spray painted gold and gold pearls form the center of the flower. It is attached with pop dots for added dimension. I love this die. You can bend the petals upward to really create a beautiful three-dimensional flower.  A gold bow is placed below the poinsettia at the lower right.

Here is the card; wish the sparkles showed up better:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT
